The Start of a New Decade
Posted by Maurizio Ghiotto on Tuesday January 12, 2010
The start of 2010 allows me to reflect on the past, review the present and set goals for the future.
I came to the United States over 25 years ago, the reputation of the boundless opportunities here inspired me to take that step. I feel blessed by the people I work with, my family, and friends. We at American Stone Company are a team and we continue to see an abundance of opportunity in our future.
What I personally would like to convey, is my many thanks to each and every friend, family member, co-worker and above all our clients; your support over the past quarter century has been profound. For all of you who we have not had the opportunity to work with, it's never too late to seize that occasion. We definitely want to show you what separates American Stone Company from the rest?
From numerous Texas economists everything I have heard about the commercial construction sector in Texas is it is going to be a challenging year. We at American Stone have been making preparations for another year of tightening our belt. Our Architect friends and clients experienced this phenomenon at the end of 2008 and into 2009. Since we have seen much optimism from many of you from the multitude of projects you are currently designing. We have confidence in the strength of Texas and the US in recovering over 2010.
Remodeling seems to be a potential growth area as retail projects completed in the 1990's are now planning freshening and new ideas for this decade.
There are some fine projects within Houston we are doing this year. The "Houston Ballet" will have a new home in downtown Houston designed by "Gensler Architects" and the "Asia House" which will provide Houston an asian cultural center, designed by "Yoshio Taniguchi", both of these projects currently underway are architecturally and culturally significant. We are excited about installing the materials at these significant projects
We are reiterating our commitment to you by giving you the highest quality service. To assist in the early design stages of a project by helping you select the most appropriate materials; whether color, quality, cost, finishes, variations and availability of materials are a question.
We are continuing to analyze and improve our service to you therefore your feedback is always welcome. Never hesitate to contact me with your advice on how we can better serve you. Our team meets regularly to brainstorm about our industry and if we need to add or improve American Stone Company.
I am looking forward to 2010 and commit to increasing and forming stronger relationships with you, our client.
