Our own Robert Chambers and his team "The Trail Riders" are award winning rib bbq'ers (again) they have come in 11th place at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo World Championship Bar-B-Que Contest for 2010. The mouth watering ribs are a treat for those of us that have had the privilege of trying them. Unfortunately, I was in China for a job material approval and missed the tasting this year but have savored those ribs in past years.
Robert has a very focused and competitive nature. Prior to hiring Robert he made it very clear that bbqing was his passion and his accepting a job at ASC was conditional on his ability to participate every year in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. I am reminded everyday of his commitment as the wagon that holds the smoker is proudly positioned on the ASC grounds.
Robert has been a project manager with American Stone Compa
ny for over 12 years. His most recently completed project entailed a finely detailed and challenging installation of terrazzo for Texas A & M University for the Physics and Astronomy department. It is featured in our "Select Projects" George P. and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics Buildings.
